They are coming for you… Soon.
Night of the Flesh Eaters, an unofficial prequel to George A. Romero’s groundbreaking 1968 film Night of the Living Dead, is in development as a top-down survival horror game for the Game Boy Color. This long awaited homage offers fans of retro gaming and horror a nostalgic experience.
Set in a fictional town in Pennsylvania, the story follows Ben, a central figure from Night of the Living Dead, and the events leading up to the cinematic nightmare. Explore a town under siege, scavenge for supplies, and face unrelenting ghouls. This project aims to honor the legacy of Romero’s work and invites horror enthusiasts, retro gamers, and potential collaborators to join the journey.
“Video games owe a lot to Night of the Living Dead, and it doesn’t make sense for it not to have its own. That’s what I’ve set out to make.” says Brandon, founder of Salt & Pixel.
